We decided to make more breaks in the weekends after Kekova-Kaş Trip with Aigul. We better take the advantage of being in Antalya while we have chance. Who knows where you will be next especially if you are working in construction projects. So although Aigul doesn’t like the idea of leaving Fıstık at home alone, again we decided to go to Olympos for the weekend.
We had an unplanned weekend trip to Olympos in May before. We hadn’t reserve any rooms that time and we could easily find but this time was the peak of the season and better not to take any chance. I searched pensions in Olympos over internet and called them for reservation. Most of them was full and the ones which had rooms was asking for an advance payment. We were going for only one night and i didnt like this advance idea. Finally i found one from this site and reserved 2 rooms without any trouble.
Name of the place was Olympos Angels Garden. It was 5-6 Km away from main road down to Olympos (Not to Çıralı. We did this mistake and went down and up all the way to Çıralı. We made 15 Km unnecessarily because of this. You dont do this mistake.) It was saying on website about the land is more then 3 acres including a swimming pool, turkish bath, mud bath, small zoo and bungalows with air condition. When we arrived we saw all these facilities on their place. The administrator of the place Gokhan Bey met us in the entrance glad hand. The place seems had no other guests except us and he wanted us to behave as we are in our own home. We settled in our wooden rooms, made a short visit around, then went into the swimming pool.
They prepared dinner to us by the swimming pool. There was grilled fish (trout) Nice salad with good olive oil and also other additional foods (dolma, fava, irmik desert). We drank raki and wine. All food and drinks fit very nice with our taste and gave us an enjoyable night. We came to Olympos for a quiet weekend so we were not looking for entertainment. We had our dinner, relaxed and chat in the pergola, went into the swimming pool in the night then went to sleep.
Next day we had no rush for breakfast cause Gokhan Bey had told us breakfast will be ready whenever you will wake up. Breakfast was not free choice but all was delicious and everybody enjoyed. After the Breakfast Aigul and Oleysa enjoyed mud bath and Turkish bath while we were smoking Nargile (hookah) at the entrance of Turkish Bath. Then around 3 o’clock finally we decided to leave the place back to home. Aigul was worrying about Fıstık and bustled us to go back to home quickly.
At last word; Olympos Angels Garden gave us the weekend we wanted with its hospitality, nature, beautiful ambience, nice facilities and comfort. And all for a good price (Including dinner 60 YTL per each a day, we even had discount due to hotel has just been put into service). We strongly recommend Olympos Angels Garden and plan to go again as soon as possible. (Aigul wants to take Fıstık together this time, we will see.)

We said it will be the life around Fıstık the cat but sometimes his parents are fooling him at home and giving a short break to the life with him.
Since months I was planning to go to a little town called Kaş which is about 200Km. away from Antalya city center. The distance was quite long for a weekend break but the people who experienced the place, especially the boat trips in Kekova Bay sounded very nice. So even without planning in prior I decided saturday afternoon and we started our journey.
After 4 hours of unexpected long but with a lot of view travel we arrived the cute town. It was founded between sea and the mountain very tightly and this was giving to the town a nice appearance. (By the way the picture on the left has been taken and HDR'ed by me at the entrance of Beymelek town.)
In front of the town there was a big peninsula called Çukur Bağ. We decided to explore this place first and settled in a Boutique Hotel called Mermaid Hotel. We arrived a bit late to Kaş, so after a short trip in town center, we difficultly reached to our bed.
Next day we woke up early to have breakfast and to join the boat trip that was arranged also by our Hotel owner. The prices for Hotel and Trip was both 50 YTL per person. Not so cheap but ok for a such weekend break.
After the nice breakfast next to the swimming pool, a midibus came to pick us up to take to the üçağız village (kekova) that was 40 minutes away. We picked up other tourists on the way and finally reached to our boat in Kekova.
It was a nice, long and satisfying trip with 6-7 stops from 11 o'clock to 18:00 including lunch break, sunken city and Kaş castle trips. The creeks we visited all had crystal clear water and some ruins as well. In one creek there was even a cold spring water in the sea and our guide chilled everybody with his bucket.
At the end of the day we came back to our hotel tired but relaxed and enjoed very much. It could be perfect if we didnt have to go back all the way to Antalya but no chance. Work doesnt wait. We had our nice memories and lots of pictures that you can see some of them here. More in here.
P.S. We probably even wouldn't remember that the our break coincidentally in our 1st wedding anniversary if our parents didnt congratulate us. What a nice couple we are :)
Fistik is growing and he has his own features of character like any another cats have. He is very curious! He tries to be everywhere and even participate in that. For example when I am washing floor he likes to play with the swap and once he was interested so much what is inside of my bucket that he jumped into it and sure he was wet. He likes to observe how I am ironing the clothes of my husband and for Fistik this is the most interesting thing. He tried even to touch the iron but then he realized it is too dangerous and now he is watching it from the distance.
When I usually start to do my make up and just open my beautician, he immediately run to me and he is searching for the only thing in this beautician - the big brush. He likes to play with it but I dont let him that's why it is so precious for him. He knows this is important for me and he needs to take it.
He is grown and now he can jump wherever he wants and just recently he used to jump to the kitchen sin and watching how I am washing the plates. He likes to look at running water and he even tried to catche it.
Fistik is very stubborn also and this feature make me dificcult to bring him up to be obedient. I don like when he jumps on our table and all the time I am beating and saing 'this is not good' but he repeats his actions.
This is Fistik..
Fıstık (Peanut) was a 1 month old street kitten until he showed himself up from the bottom of the junction box that they hid themselves with his brothers. That time he had no idea that this will change his life forever. His brothers was so nicely hid themselves among the cables under the box so we had only chance to take fıstık. (That time we didnt know his name will be fıstık. Only one week later we could name him).
I took him into the car before his mother appeared. We all went into the car and i gave him to his new mum. He was surprised and couldnt understand what was going on. We came home and looked for something to warm him up and make feel nice. His new mum gave him her hat. He just fit inside like it was built for him.
So our new boy's adventure start with us like that. Next few days, especially nights he suffered from lack of his mum, till he discovered my hair.
My hair gave him feeling of his mum i guess and relaxed him a bit. He started calmly sleeping without his all night long meows and also gave us chance to sleep.
Following Days he slowly started to take the ownership of the house. Started to wake us up early in the morning and wanted to play. Even sometimes took the laptop (Naturally his all attraction was on the mouse).
Now he became a 4 months teenager. Not as cute as his childhood but more strong, agile and adult.
This will be the story of the happenings around the Cat in the Hat. So let's start.
